Reaching patients Nationwide with Compassionate, Accessible Healthcare

Canadian women are experiencing increasingly prolonged wait times for gynecologic surgeries, particularly for conditions like pelvic organ prolapse (POP) and urinary incontinence. More than 40% of women will experience POP, with nearly 15% requiring a surgical intervention. A 2017 study found that the average wait for prolapse surgery was 210 days, compared to 98 days for hip and knee replacements. This disparity has led to calls for gynecologic surgeries to be prioritized similarly to other procedures to improve women’s health outcomes. Long wait times for surgery within your home province can be frustrating and worsen your condition and overall health. Especially for such a critical medical appointment.

Long wait times for surgery within your home province can be frustrating and worsen your condition and overall health. When it comes to something as important as your health, you deserve options. For Canadians who prefer not to wait for a publicly insured gynecological procedure in their home province, Pacific Plastic Surgery Group helps coordinate timely surgical care in BC. Traveling out of province for elective care can offer peace of mind, providing timely, private access to the care you need, when you need it most. Our experienced and compassionate team is by your side throughout the process, making it easier to bypass long waits and access the care you need, with confidence and peace of mind.

Consultation

Once you decide to proceed with your procedure, our patient care coordinator will help you select a surgical date that fits your schedule. We’ll help you choose a surgery date that fits comfortably with your recovery, personal commitments, and travel plans. When you’re ready to move forward, a non-refundable deposit of $2,000 will secure your spot. We’ll also be here to carefully explain our financial policies, making sure you feel fully informed and supported throughout the process.

Your patient care coordinator will guide you through the paperwork process. Before your surgery, we may ask your regular doctor to provide a medical history form.
